Dear [name of Parent],
Just to confirm, we have not yet started to use the Identikit part of the Junior Librarian system and so, no, [name of child] has not yet had their thumbprint "taken". I should point out, though you may already know this, that the system does not take an image of the child's thumbprint at all and so, even if [name of child] were using the system the school would not in any case be in "possession" of their thumb or fingerprints. I am happy to talk to you more about this if you wish.
